Pumpkin Day and the City of Edmundston’s Arts and Culture Department are excited to present a one-day event for the 26th edition of Pumpkin Day, which will take place at Artisans’ Square on September 29.
Autumn Market and Local Artists
On site, come meet artists, artisans, creators, and producers, and stock up on artwork, traditional arts and crafts, and local products. Over 50 exhibitors will be setting up booths at Artisans’ Square this year. Take the opportunity to start picking out items from your Christmas gift list while supporting the local economy.
In addition, local artists will be offering a musical lineup on the Artisans’ Square stage from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Storytime with the Library (Ages 4-8) In French
11:45 AM - 12:45 PM: Jason and Jessie Guerrette (Music/Duo)
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Fire and Ice (Music/Duo)
12:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Mr. Balloon
2:00 PM: Official pumpkin Weigh-In
The Biggest Pumpkin
The public can also witness the crowning of the biggest pumpkin at 2 p.m. Once again, the results will be recorded with the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth, an international organization that ensures fairness and camaraderie among various competition sites.
Those interested can still register their largest pumpkin for the contest by emailing citrouille.edmundston@gmail.com no later than Monday, September 23.
After a several-year hiatus, the "Coloris d'automne" visual art symposium is making its grand return for its 10th edition. Over 25 artists from here and elsewhere will showcase their works on September 28 and 29 at Artisans’ Square. This event offers a unique opportunity for the public to discover and rediscover the talents of numerous artists in a festive atmosphere.
