SUMMARY:Déjeun'art
DESCRIPTION:Déjeun’art is a friendly event that invites the entire community to gather over coffee and a muffin to discover an artist’s world. This initiative aims to promote the arts and highlight the work of local creators\n\nAt this event\, come meet Sébastien Bérubé and explore his artistic world. He’ll share his creative process\, his inspirations\, and his journey with you. This gathering fosters exchange\, sparks curiosity\, and encourages dialogue between the public and the artists.\n\n“Sébastien Bérubé is an artist from northwestern New Brunswick. Initially known as a singer-songwriter and poet\, he made a sensational debut in the world of prose with *Rivières-aux-Cartouches*\, a bestseller that won the *Combat national des livres* (Radio-Canada)\, the Champlain Prize\, and the 2024 Éloize Award for Artist of the Year in Literature.\n\nBérubé offers a candid and sensitive perspective on his region and on social and political injustices. After working as a school cultural development officer for the Maliseet First Nation of Madawaska\, then as program director for Éditions Perce-Neige’s “Voix émergentes” initiative\, he is now a cultural worker and doctoral student\, though he often takes time off to go hunting or to write when the weather isn’t right.”\n\nThis is a free event; registration is recommended to help with organization.\n\n* This event is offered in French only

SUMMARY:Fred Pellerin
DESCRIPTION:When the priest died\, two graves were dug: one on each side of the cemetery fence. During three days and three nights of wake\, the entire village debated which side to lay him on: in holy ground or on the other side.\n\nYou never really know who you’re dealing with…\nTo each his own story\, his own truth. Just when we thought we knew everything about the life of this man with the rosary\, we were in for a big surprise when the widow told her story during the wake. Hanging on her every word\, we were about to discover the unsuspected truths and secrets of the parish priest-and\, above all\, witness the bizarre judgment of the legendary people’s court of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton.\n\nA presentation by Productions Micheline Sarrazin Inc.\n\n* PERFORMANCE IN FRENCH

SUMMARY:Déjeun'ART
DESCRIPTION:Déjeun’art is a friendly event that invites the entire community to gather over coffee and a muffin to discover an artist’s world. This initiative aims to promote the arts and highlight the work of local creators. At this event\, come meet Stéphanie Couturier and immerse yourself in her artistic world. She’ll share her creative process\, her inspirations\, and her career journey.\n\nStéphanie is a millennial who grew up in the forests of northwestern New Brunswick. After starting her young adult life as a nurse\, she decided to found La Vie en Verre in the midst of the pandemic. Her creations seemed to bring color and clarity to people’s lives during this time of uncertainty. This proves that there are many ways to support and inspire the world.\n\nAs a self-taught artist\, she has developed a style characterized by abstract and contemporary forms. She draws inspiration from the human experience\, the beauty of nature\, and its decline. Her creations are available in various Canadian boutiques as well as at Fabrique 1840 at La Maison Simons. She also operates her own online store\, where she regularly introduces new collections. From time to time\, she shares her knowledge by teaching classes at her community’s arts center and serving as a mentor in her field.

SUMMARY:Art-à-Porter
DESCRIPTION:Art-à-Porter is a live creative event in front of an audience\, where artists exchange their canvases for a garment worn by a model. This performance blends design and the visual arts. The audience thus has the opportunity to observe the creative process in real time and to see the garments transform into living works of art.\n\nDriven by a passion for fashion and the visual arts\, Émilie Grace Lavoie conceives and co-organizes Art-à-Porter. The event was first presented in 2014 at the Université de Moncton\, then at the Works Art & Design Festival in Edmonton in 2017. It was also hosted at the Edmundston Arts Centre in 2016. Nearly ten years later\, in 2025\, the event returns and is set to take place again with its third edition on November 25\, 2026.\n\nPhoto credit: Gaudreau Photography

SUMMARY:Mariana Mazza
DESCRIPTION:For her third show\, Foie Gras\, Mariana Mazza decides to express herself with her head and her heart… for a change.\n\nIn this very personal one-woman show\, the young girl who grew up in Montreal North\, now a bourgeois woman living in Saint-Lambert with her poodles and unsold paintings\, proves to be as brilliant as she is hilarious.\n\nAccustomed to saying things solely to provoke laughter\, she wants to go further this time and come out to the audience: she is emotional and vulnerable. The Chihuahua on Red Bull is officially replaced by the tank with a heart of porcelain.\n\nAs she so aptly puts it: “I’m the best\,”\nYes\, Mariana has changed. But how much?\n\n* PERFORMANCE IN FRENCH

SUMMARY:Causerie - Artist talk
DESCRIPTION:Artist Talk\nMeet Lee McLean\, a textile artist whose works are currently on display at the Arts Center Gallery.\n\nThis talk will consist of two parts. First\, using a visual presentation\, Lee McLean will discuss the evolution of her improvisational piecing practice\, her artistic approach\, and the techniques she uses to produce this kind of work. In 2023\, she won first place in the Abstract and Improvised Art category of the 2023 Quilt Canada national competition. The work is currently part of a traveling exhibition across Canada.\n\nNext\, Lee will invite participants to join her for a guided tour of her exhibition. This tour of her works will allow her to explain how she first developed her skills in traditional patchwork before integrating them into her contemporary artistic practice. Since she employs a variety of techniques in her work\, she will be able to discuss\, for each piece\, her artistic intent as well as the patchwork methods used in creating her works.\n\n* Presentation in English
