Sea and Rivers – An Ode to Nature and Memories
The exhibition “Sea and Rivers” by Daniel Robichaud celebrates the timeless beauty of marine and river landscapes that have shaped his life. Originally from the Acadian Peninsula, the artist draws on childhood memories filled with fishing boats and waves, as well as inspiration from the rivers of the Madawaska region, where he now resides.
Through vibrant and textured paintings, Robichaud shares intimate emotions captured by his eye, imagination, and heart. Each work reflects a deep connection to his environment, aiming to convey the fleeting beauty of nature and invite the viewer on a personal journey through the landscapes and emotions they evoke.Mer et Rivières – Une ode à la nature et aux souvenirs
Working primarily in a realistic style with oil paint, the artist also experiments with techniques such as palette knife work to infuse energy and vitality into his creations. His canvases highlight the richness of color and texture, capturing the harmony of nature and the complexity of human emotion.
Although Daniel Robichaud holds a degree in science, he reconnected with his passion for art in 2021, guided by mentors such as Louise Giroux. Since then, he has exhibited in several venues across New Brunswick and continues to be involved in artist collectives such as the Plein Air au Jardin group.
With “Sea and Rivers”, Robichaud invites us to rediscover the natural wonders around us and let ourselves be carried by the emotions they inspire.
