BIOGRAPHY
Since 1996, the artist therapist has lived in Kedgwick, New Brunswick, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. She works as a community worker. Her artistic experience brings her closer to art therapy by encouraging the creative process and promoting a body-based approach. She gives different workshops in schools like art textile, stained glass, mandala and journaling with the combination of drawing and writing. She also teaches bilateral guided drawing to help heal trauma. The three steps are establishing safety, calm and stability within oneself and one's environment. Accepting triggers and traumatic memories and coming to terms with how we have survived by integrating so we can finally move forward in life.

ARTIST STATEMENT
“My artistic experiences have evolved from a background of studies and practice in fine craft, textiles and sociology. I have developed a parallel specialization in Art Therapy with the certitude that self-expression through the visual arts offers a pathway to understanding our human experience. Working with my intuition in the creative process has given me the opportunity to express myself with complete freedom and has allowed my unique, artistic voice to develop. I work steadfastly to communicate my ideas from a place of connection and centeredness."
