"Like individuals evolving in society, juxtaposed cells communicate with each other and coexist, creating intimate links that make life possible in an organic symbiosis”. Nicole Haché

"Collective Autobiography" was created during a cross-cultural creative residency that brought together the Aboriginal, Francophone and Anglophone communities of New Brunswick.

NICOLE HACHÉ went out to meet the people and documented, through photographs, several individuals in each of these communities. The installation reflects Nicole Haché's knowledge and sensitivity to interpersonal relationships and the importance of collective symbiosis.

Formerly a medical laboratory technologist, NICOLE HACHÉ combines histology with an artistic approach that interweaves knowledge and creativity.  She believes that interactions are necessary for society to function properly, and each one of them influences the person we become on a daily basis, just as our cells interact with each other to ensure the activity of the human body.

Her installation celebrates diversity and allows for reflection on the importance of each person's role in the community.
