About Edmundston’s Centre des arts

The Centre des arts of Edmundston offers a program of visual arts exhibitions that reflects the vitality and diversity of contemporary creation. The professional gallery showcases the work of emerging and established artists whose approach is in line with current practices, while the Hôtel de Ville gallery showcases artists who are committed to the development and dissemination of their work.

The professional art gallery

The Professional Art Gallery Located on the ground floor of the Centre des arts, the Professional Art Gallery showcases artistic practices rooted in a contemporary approach, reflecting the diversity and research of current creation through its installations.

It hosts exhibitions by both emerging and established professional artists, whose work is rooted in critical, aesthetic or social reflection.

City Hall Art Gallery

The City Hall Art Gallery showcases artists whose work demonstrates a sustained commitment to the dissemination and professionalisation of their artistic approach. It provides a showcase for those whose ongoing work actively contributes to the development of their careers and to the influence of the visual arts in the community.

The 2nd floor gallery

On the upper floor of the Edmundston Arts Centre, an exhibition space is dedicated to showcasing community-based projects. This gallery showcases the work of new artists, local creators, young talent and collaborative initiatives. Promoting inclusion and civic engagement, this space aims to support the next generation of artists and strengthen the links between art and the community.
